Austin Ear Clinic is Austin’s premier clinic for medical and surgical treatment of ear and balance disorders under the leadership of Dr. Patrick Slater, Austin’s only board certified Neurotologist. We have been helping people with a variety of hearing and balance disorders for over 20 years. We perform audio testing, fit hearing aids, and perform a variety of surgical procedures that are meant to improve hearing and the overall health of our patients. Austin Ear Clinic takes the needs of its patients seriously and loves to help people with hearing and balance issues. We are seeking a Clinical/Dispensing Audiologist for our Audiology department. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong work ethic that enjoys helping people. Minimum Responsibilities: • Perform diagnostic testing for hearing and balance disorders that include but are not limited to ABR, ECOG, TEOAE, VNG, ENoG and Audios • Write letters of medical necessity or submit preauthorizations for Cochlear Implants and BAHA surgeries • Evaluate and make recommendations for BAHAs, Cochlear Implants or hearing aids • Dispense, troubleshoot and manage hearing aids and BAHAs • Coordinate schedules and assist with patients who walk in the clinic with hearing aid concerns or who drop off their hearing aids for evaluation. • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times • Oversee and maintain clinic notes/encounters for in-house and manufacturer hearing aid repairs • Coordinate patient appointments with the front desk staff • Participate as a team member with other audiology department staff in clinical maintenance, staff meetings and associated assignments • Hours of operation is Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree or AuD Benefits Include: Competitive compensation Continuing education reimbursement allowance Professional membership reimbursement Generous Vacation Package Paid Sick Time Paid health insurance
